Our certified organic rice is available in three colors/varieties: Black, Red, and Brown rice. Our three rice colors are all whole-grain rice, where the highly nutritious and beneficial layer of bran is retained through a single-pass milling process.
Brown Rice is rich in Selenium, which is known to help maintain a healthy digestion. Brown Rice is also known to contain anti-inflammatory compounds that may be beneficial to the respiratory system. Brown rice is also packed full of dietary fiber, which not only helps maintain a proper bowel movement, but also helps maintain healthy blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
Red Rice is popular among those on a weight loss diet, or those looking to lose some pounds. Red Rice contains a high amount of Magnesium and Calcium. Magnesium helps support a healthy respiratory system, as well as in maintaining a healthy blood pressure level. Together with Calcium, Magnesium also helps in bone building, and in maintaining bone health. The Omega-3 fatty acids found in the bran oil also help keep cholesterol levels in check.
Black Rice is hailed as a superfood, as it contains many potential health benefits. It contains a type of antioxidant called anthocyanin, a purple pigment also found in grapes, blueberries, and the acai berry from South America. Anthocyanins are known to help support the immune system and promote a healthy cell growth. Among the four, however, the highest concentration of anthocyanins by far is found in Black Rice, along with the added benefit of containing less sugar, and more Vitamin E and fiber.
